The best days in Sicily begin with salty hair and sunshine and end with family gathered around the table — effortless days under the Mediterranean sun and evenings filled with pizza, passeggiatas, and one more scoop of pistachio gelato.

when to visit taormina

The best time to visit Taormina with kids is late May through early July and September through early October, when the weather is warm, the sea is perfect for swimming, and the crowds are lighter than peak summer.

  • Spring (April–June) Mild temperatures, blooming gardens, and ideal weather for sightseeing and beach days.
  • Summer (July–August) Long, sunny beach days and a lively atmosphere. Expect crowds and reserve well in advance.
  • Fall (September–October) Our favorite time. The sea is still warm, the crowds fade, and it's perfect for our Sunwashed in Sicily collection.
